DeviceAtlas is pleased to inform customers that the European Patent Organisation (EPO) has upheld our patent EP3264728B1, which was filed in 2008 and covers the algorithm at the core of DeviceAtlas. Several successful patents have followed subsequent to this. In a ruling this morning, an opposing patent by a competitor which was previously granted, was revoked entirely by the EPO appeals board with no remaining paths for recourse.
This decision is a victory for DeviceAtlas. CTO, Ronan Cremin, says "We are very pleased with the EPO's ruling, which confirms the validity of our patent and affirms our position as a leader in device intelligence technology."
DeviceAtlas continues to invest in research and development to bring new and innovative products to market. With this validation from the EPO, we are confident that our long term investment into original research and innovation is protected - not just for us, but also other inventors who come after us.
